Coulter went on, “So I’m not wild about Rand Paul’s instincts on these things, but he actually has been great on a lot of other issues. He’s very good on the don’t-start-wars-around-the-globe issue for no purpose, killing off our best Americans. He’s been fantastic on that.”
Coulter added, “I’m hesitant to be too critical, but I think [Rand Paul] is going back to being, ‘I’m going to be Mr. Principled Libertarian and please admire me for my principles,’ which is good, you can all slap one another on the back when we’re in the gulags together because you’re about to wreck our country.”
Illegal immigration and the southern border’s porousness dually constitute a national emergency, assessed Coulter:

I understand the frustration. Believe me I do. I feel it as well. But a lot less so now that POTUS is working on the problem and making progress. Ann’s criticism is not constructive and is directed at the wrong person. To ridicule POTUS and question his commitment to building the wall is not constructive and factually incorrect. POTUS has to work in the real world to get things done.
As far as the EO is concerned, I’m convinced it was largely a distraction intentionally placed there by POTUS for various reasons, mostly for the optics of exposing the Dem’s obstructionism. It appears that POTUS has identified most of the funding needed for building the wall, through means other than the EO. This has received little publicity, and probably by design on the president’s part. Get the Democrats arguing about the things that don’t matter while you’re quietly getting things done in the background without them noticing. Have a look at this statement released by POTUS last month.

You’ll notice that POTUS has already identified 600 Million from 31USC9705 and 2.5 Billion from 10USC284. Neither of these laws are contingent upon the national emergency. He also has 1.3 Billion from the spending bill just passed. As POTUS has already pointed out, the poison pills in that bill have no teeth. This money will be spent first. If any more is needed (not likely) then the national emergency will be dealt with.
