Hickenlooper defends fracking and science. Can Democrats swallow that?
Washington Examiner ^ | March 5 2019 | Washington Examiner

Men often take dumb risks by pounding drinks they should probably skip. It may have seemed like such a dumb stunt when former Democratic Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper threw back a shot of fracking fluid — but in fact it was perfectly safe.

Hickenlooper knows what so many liberal environmentalists deny: The cocktail of water and chemicals that gas companies inject into the ground as part of the fracking process isn’t “poisonous” at all. He also knows what his party’s most popular figures could never admit: Fracking is a safe process that creates jobs, brings down energy costs, and helps the economy. In fact, fracking has done more to reduce U.S. carbon emissions than all environmentalists combined.

This fealty to science and economics, were it to spread to other issues, could become a liability to Hickenlooper now that he’s seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.

Sorry, what party is Higgenbottom? If Democrat, he’s obviously DOA in their Primary system.

I hate to have to defend this commie but Hickenlooper is on record saying that he thought that legalizing pot was a bad idea.

Dems are experts at double-crossing the electorate, HL does this, but he also double crosses the Dems by running (slightly) toward the center.

He is as gun-grabbingly dangerous as all Dems, but he's staking out the near-left (as opposed to the far left) ground.

Of course, he means none of it. He is a lefty.

He’s met private sector payrolls. That gives him experience most politicians lack

There was no bill. It was passed on a referendum vote.
Politicians had no part in it.

He's also worked as a geologist, another experience most politicians lack. The majority of them seem to be lawyers of some kind.

So on this particular issue, he might have some idea what he's talking about. Other issues, not so much, but I'll give him this one.

Then he certified it into the constitution. He just doesn’t do that. He totally supported the referendum!! You must be on his futile campaign. Look it up!!

I don’t have to look it up. He is on record saying that he opposed the referendum and the Governor doesn’t have the authority to negate a referendum vote. Neither does the legislature or the courts.

But keep spouting nonsense, it’s entertaining. lol
