Fact is, this district had become a way to represent deep pocket construction interests. Having a Republican that would represent small towns getting their fair share of money is what wins this election, so it seems. Phil Robinson in his campaign very smartly made an issue of how every voter matters.
It's Repbulican leadership arrogance that cost that seat. They should've chosen someone humble and connected and who knows how fed up small town voters are. I'm a life-long Republican. I noticed Trakis didn’t exactly earn an overwhelming majority in the GOP primary. The establishment RINOs are a real problem for us, and unfortunately, tend to have huge bankrolls that overwhelm the more humble bank accounts of the preferred Conservative grassroots candidates.
