At the end of February, the United Methodist Church bravely dodged what would have been a self-inflicted kill shot. Pushed to definitive action by gay activists within their ranks, they not only refused to mutilate clear biblical teaching on same-sex couples and gay clergy, the UMC voted to strengthen its adherence to biblical sexual ethics.

As a professional chorister, I have considerable experience with several UMC congregations.
They are uniformly the most secular, leftist, and perverse churches I have personally witnessed. The true Gospel is absent.
They openly boast about feminism and homoeroticism being embraced, and openly condemn anyone concerned about Islam and sovereignty.
I finally reached my limit, and began refusing to sing for UMC churches about three years ago.
“Except that now the ministers can be suspended for marrying same-sex couples and de-frocked for the second offense. Current gay clergy will be encouraged to leave the United Methodist Church. Current gay Methodists can stay but they had better watch it.”
That was true 6 months ago. My daughter’s pastor was suspended for attending a same-sex marriage.
Meanwhile, a gay couple I know was married in Foundry UMC
I’ve personally seen 3 denominations die because of homosexuality: Episcopalians, UCC, and the PCUSA. I was baptized and raised in the first, educated in the second, and had fled to the Presbyterians when the homosexuals took control of the Episcopal Church.
All the signs of terminal gay rot are now in the American Methodist churches. They will not give up until they have destroyed the denomination, no matter what.
In one of my initial discussions when I was thinking of going to the local Bible-believing PCUSA church, I asked the pastor whether PCUSA would also be taken over. He assured me it wouldn’t, that young evangelicals were growing in the denomination and the liberals were growing older and diminishing. That church ended up leaving the denomination after paying a large sum of money as ransom; that pastor left Presbyterianism and is now running a small non-denominational mission somewhere in California. PCUSA nationally now has half the members it had when I first started going there.
I now go to a small non-denominational church that is affiliated with a missionary group in Japan and the Philippines. I feel confident that it will not be taken over by homosexuality, and it preaches Christ and Him crucified every Sunday. The pastor does not have a problem preaching that God and Jesus expect us to be faithful to Scripture and His commands.
“We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, I know him, but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them.”
I John 2:3-5
