Two men traveling from Central America were killed and eight others wounded Sunday after a group of armed men opened fire on the migrants because they refused to pay bribes to pass through a region of southern Mexico they control, according to local media.

The murders took place Sunday morning as a couple of large trucks carrying a total of 90 Central American migrants were held up by paramilitary forces in Mexico's southern state of Chiapas, which sits on the Guatemala border.

The Mexican traffickers moving the dozens of migrants who each paid $7,000 to $8,000 to be smuggled into Mexico and to the U.S. refused to cooperate, and the armed men began shooting at the back of the trucks where the migrants were sitting.

One of the Mexican guides was among the wounded. Six other Guatemalans were among those hurt, including four minors.

The group had left Guatemala last Friday.

This is what America will be like when the lovely citizens of Mexico and the Central American disaster areas take over by virtue of Invasion.

Meanwhile, in Washington DeeCee (The Capitol!), a madman and his henchman run an Inquisition on the first President we have had since Eisenhower who will actually do something about this.

Do these Mexican highwaymen have a Go Fund Me? If so I’d like to donate to support their cause!

How in the world do the people come up with thousands of dollars to pay coyotes if they’re in such dire poverty?

Unless someone takes me out to lunch, I can’t even afford McDonald’s dollar menu!

Plus, it would be cheaper for these people to fly to a northern Mexican city, than travel in these dangerous caravans. I wonder why they don’t?

There’s an idea. Station highwaymen on Mexico’s southern and northern borders. Do it for the safety and economy of Mexico.

Coyotes (the human ones) should be hunted down and killed like dogs.

Yes. Absolutely! No quarter given. This would reduce illegal immigration by a significant degree.

The banditos didn’t fail.
They insured that future groups pay.

I think the threat of gun violence and the massive expense of being trafficked should be bigger deterrents.

But looks like the coyotes doing the smuggling are hell bent in keeping their market share.

If these paramilitary groups looking to extort the coyotes....get more organized.

Might help slow the coyotes down.

Who knows.

Does sound like big money for the coyotes, so I don’t expect them to stop anytime soon.

Why don’t they fly to Northern Mexico?

No papeles. (No papers and no visa.)

A lot of that money is off the books stuff from black market activities.

Local government isn’t going to let their people fly away with $8000 in their undies.

It would need to be declared, and then confiscated by corrupt police.

Thanks for your cash, have a nice day.

The Rats will claim that these actions
have greatly reduced the flow, and the
emergency at the border no longer exists.

I believe that they are “financed” by the drug cartels. The cartel is your “lender”.
