The Rs are beyond hope. There is no political solution to the trouble we’re in. I hope and pray DJT dumps these s’bags and asks his supporters to defend him and this nation.
This is the reply I received from my congressman, Thomas Massie. Massie has been one of the five best congressmen we have. His position shocks and dismays me. He is the last in DC that I expected to place the dagger in my and DJTs back.

Dear Michael,
Thank you for contacting me regarding H.J. Res. 46, a joint resolution terminating the national emergency declared by the President on February 15, 2019. I appreciate hearing from you and understand your position.
I oppose illegal immigration and fully support President Trump’s efforts to construct a border wall. Our failure to secure the border presents an urgent threat to our national security. On December 20th, 2018, for example, I voted in favor of adding $5 billion in border wall funding to the government funding bill (H.R. 695). Unfortunately, President Trump ultimately decided to sign a spending bill that did not provide full funding for the border wall.
I strongly support President Trump and fully support the wall, but I could not vote against H.J. Res. 46.
I took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. Article I, section 9, clause 7 of our Constitution clearly states: “No money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in consequence of appropriations made by law . . . . .” The Constitution clearly and specifically assigns to Congress alone the “power of the purse,” and the authority to control and direct the allocation of taxpayer dollars. It does not allow for an “emergency” exception by which the President may simply declare an emergency and then allocate money however he so chooses.
I understand that you may disagree with my vote. However, please know that I share your anger and frustration regarding the crisis on our border, and will work to protect our border and build a wall in a way that is consistent with the United States Constitution.
Sincerely,
Thomas Massie

I’ve been wondering which of the two major parties would disappear first.
Now I know.
