This law will hurt Oregon very badly. New companies know this and will not move there. Its immeasurably stupid and I thought the whole concept was DEAD.

When the government controls anything, it gets worse.
Rent controls will end up meaning fewer rentals, not cheaper rentals.
Same thing happened in Hawaii when they placed price controls on gasoline years ago.
Instead of cheaper gas, they got less gasoline.
Welcome, citizen, to your new government provided home! It was built to exacting standards that profiteer builders refused to meet! Thanks to these units and many more we will soon be building, the housing crisis will soon be a thing of that past. Yet another sterling example of your state government in action for you!
