Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis says he and his deputies “will not comply” if Maryland lawmakers follow through with a long gun licensing and confiscation law.
Lewis told Delmarva Now that he believes lawmakers are punishing residents throughout the state for the out-of-control crime in Baltimore. He said, “Law-abiding citizens are repeatedly being penalized because of Baltimore City’s inability to control their crime. And I’m sorry — I’m not someone’s puppet. I’m going to stand up for what I think is unjust and unconstitutional to the American people, including those living in the state in Maryland.”
He added, “We’re gonna let them know that we are sick and tired of being penalized for Baltimore City’s inability to control crime. If these bills pass, we will not comply.”

When I was a child in south-central PA there was a homicide (one of very few) and it was done someone from Baltimore city- over 50 miles away.

Don’t you mean the eastern part of the state? The western part has Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, We Wuz Kangs County, etc.

I have never been so ashamed of my country as I was when Lord Christopher Monckton was invited to appear in front of a congressional hearing on global warming. Inslee abuses Foreign guest Lord Monckton at Congressional Hearing in 2010-Part 1. If you go to the second part of the video at the 6:15 mark, Inslee starts there.
Lord Monckton was INVITED to appear, and when he got there, this vile scumbag douchebag Inslee did his best to humiliate him, not by disproving the points he made to debunk global warming, but by ad hominem attack even to the point of making fun of his name, saying he wasn't a real "Lord" and wasn't even a real "Climate Scientist.
I was ashamed to see this transpire, but heartened to see that Lord Monckton not only stood up to it and didn't give him satisfaction, but also presented his points in a nearly irrefutable way.
I just watched it again, and it made my blood boil. Besides the rude treatment of this man, they did all the things we expect of Leftists, talking down a witness, making noises on the table, tapping the microphone (If you go to Part 2 of the video at the 5:57 mark, Inslee or Blumenauer starts tapping the microphone or the table to annoy and drown out Lord Monckton) while Lord Monckton was talking and so on. You know what was really remarkable, both Inslee and Blumenauer (Oregon) made a snake in the grass like Markey of Massachusetts seem downright polite and charming in comparison. That is pretty hard to do.
You being from that area probably know what a scum-sucking-snake-in-the-grass Leftard this turd is, but some others on here may not.
In addition to watching the shameful abuse of this British guest to gauge the bulletproof stupidity of Inslee, you can also get a good education watching this on some KEY points on refuting the global warming hoax.
Leftists are impervious to irony. There is consensus on that.

Last week, as I recall, Inslee threatened to arrest the Sheriffs for not enforcing state law.
The Attorney General of Washington state is an independently elected Democrat, so I assume that Inslee and the A.G. are rowing on the same boat.
By the way, Inslee and the A.G. do not enforce immigration law in Washington!

In the past, when I’ve advanced the idea of a federal gun law that preempts all the existing state laws, i’ve gotten some push back from people who live in states where the state governments respect the Second Amendment. That said, as I see what’s coming, I am not optimistic that those states will remain true to the Bill of Rights. We’ve just purchased a “second, second home” in Northern Nevada. Right now, Nevada is starting to “experience” the overbearing nature of a state government now dominated by Clark County ( Las Vegas ). Now Nevada has a RAT governor for the first time in a long time, and two RAT Senators. Plus their legislature has turned RAT. And with these changes have come the specter of gun control legislation. And Nevada is not alone. As the population centers in the remaining “free states” grow, so too does the probability that these RAT-Run big cities, will take over at the end of the day. So I am for a national law to keep those RATs out of the gun control business.
If, at the end of the day, President Trump leaves us with a Constitutional SCOTUS ( with young justices who will be on the bench for 30 to 40 years), and, if we are lucky, protections in federal law for the Bill of Rights that will be difficult, if not impossible to easily overturn, he will have given this country the biggest gift he could give!

I spent the first 35 years of my life just a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in Florida.
In my neck of the woods, every street was laid out on a perfect N-E-S-W grid, and the highest natural elevation in my county was 10 feet above sea level.
After leaving Florida, I have no idea what direction I’m going in.
You know what makes me angry and is totally hypocritical is the lack of gun prosecutions. How many felons use guns in crimes only to get probation or a light sentence. Yet, you’re supposed to believe that law-abiding citizens should be punished for the actions of mostly inner-city young adults.
I visit the Conservative climate web site “Watts Up With That” almost every day, so I am very familiar with Monckton and the work he does.

I just Googled Lord Monckton's name to check the spelling. Not only does Google give you no help trying to spell it, the first two hits on Monckton are "Climate Misinformation" web sites!
