Your are correct. I’m saying it’s an easy step using the Medicare surcharges to identify further means testing and simply decrement the monthly benefits for those in that category.

The Dems are really pushing their luck. If theyre successful implementing elements of their radical Leftist agenda, it wont end well for them.

The Republican Party is far from unified--neither ideologically, nor socially. But it is now beginning to morph--just in the beginning stages--in response to an evolving clash between irreconcilable approaches.
We all have a chance to influence the process.

If they actually implement elements of that agenda, it will not end well for any of us--although if it triggers another successful counter-revolution, such as that in 1776, it might lead to a restoration of much that has already been lost.
The intention of this thread, however, is to increase understanding of the total absurdity of what is being advocated, to help our side better understand our tactical advantage--that is the advantage if we employ the obvious arguments for out traditions, as opposed to the mealy mouthed apologies, which certain Republicans fall back on, lest they offend those who hate our way of life.
I see tremendous opportunity, here. Have been fighting egalitarian (Jacobin, Marxist & variation) arguments for many decades, and understand the flaws in their approaches. They are stuck with premises, which will not stand critical analysis.

Here is another excerpt:
The right of the individual to accumulate capital, to ascend a ladder of social objectives, and/or material wealth, has always been the American engine of individual success; but, also, the engine for sustained economic growth of society in general. We have always acclaimed success; always disdained the petty envy of those obsessed with jealous resentment of exceptional achievement.

In traditional America, those whom a Leftist mob would now tear down, have always been the role models for those who, wisely, would learn by example; those, who understand the value of emulation of that, which works best in a desired pursuit. Natural Law, Liberty & each individual's idiosyncratic Pursuit of Happiness, ever the essence of a true American ethos--the premises of our moral compass. Wealth Tax

Another excerpt:
In Jefferson's introduction to the Declaration, our defining spokesman altered slightly the traditional reference to "life, liberty & property," as primary natural rights, to Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness, reflecting his understanding that we are all not materialistic or utilitarian. Yet, certainly, the pursuit of wealth is, and has long been, a major factor in the pursuit of happiness for many Americans. The right to pursue, is not and never was a right or guarantee of success: No guarantee of success! But no ceiling on aspiration or achievement! The intended promise of America, in common sense & elemental fairness, was always a right to try.

Fine tax it all away and when it’s gone it’s gone forever, then what will the Left do?

But we should not take comfort in our enemies' bringing our heritage crashing down on all of us. My purpose, based on over sixty- five years in the fray, is to unmask the folly, with arguments for which the Left has no rational answer, in order to prevent the crash!

I agree and I am not for what I said. It’s just these people just don’t think any of this stuff out. Yes it all sounds good till all the wealth is spent and no one left to pay except those you told would not have to.

Consider, also, how the unrealistic goals of the Leftist propagandists, parroted in the media & academia, not only undermine the moral fiber of a huge segment of the public; but they clearly tamp down the sense of adventure & challenge to excellence, which played an enormous role in the settler culture, which responded so magnificently in the culture our contemporary "reformers" are so bent upon destroying.

Wealth, property, income, imports, exports, any and all monetary transactions, kids, dogs, cats and rainbows - TAX THEM ALL! 90% sounds about right.

Not sure which “Beast,” you want to feed, but it was the accumulation of enormous capital accumulations, which made our prosperity possible over the generations; which made our victories in World War II & the Cold War, possible. It has always been private achievement, which advanced the living standards of nations in general, since the dawn of history and the division of labor.
