Reparations coming to everyone, including Sen. Warren

Will Elizabeth Warren file for reparations as a Native American when she is president?

Just because she is a former Cherokee does not exclude her from filing for federal benefits once the Democrats win control of the White House in 2020 and she becomes the first woman president.

Despite apologizing to the Cherokee nation for falsely posing as one of them throughout her academic career, she does have a speck of Native American ancestry in her background.

And while that drop of Native American blood — anywhere from .01 to 3 percent — may be less than what your average white American has, there is no reason why she should not cut herself a small reparation check.

It may not amount to much, but if you grew up on the ragged edge of the middle class, as Warren says she did, the money might come in handy

Kamala Harris is ahead of the reparations game: Harris appointed Jussie Smollet to her Former Oppressed Slaves Outreach Committee.

Smollett said he was gratified at Kamala’s confidence in him, and added:

“Even if we cant get any money out of those white racists in Maga Country, we’ll settle for a $1.00 coupon off a Subway footlong.”

This may sound like nitpicking, but the esteemed senator was not proven to have any native American ancestry whatsoever; not 1 in a thousand, not 1 in a million. This was an interpretation, an inference by the analyst; basically, an opinion, not proof. From the published report:

....she said the test still had limitations, largely because of the lack of available Native American data sets, but that the limitations “don’t influence the idea that she had an indigenous ancestor."

For example, in the analysis, the Native American samples came from people from Mexico, Peru and Colombia. Ideally, Warren’s DNA would be compared to that from Native Americans living in the United States — but that data isn’t publicly available. These other samples can still be used, however, because there is enough shared ancestry. Many people living in North and South America today, Bolnick explained, still retain genetic variants that emerged in more ancestral populations, and therefore these people can serve as legitimate comparisons to determine whether an individual descended from the first people of the Americas.

What?? "still retain genetic variants"? Are you serious? Wouldn't shock me if the average people in Japan "still retain genetic variants" of these markers.
In short, Fauxcahontas might be slightly Mexican, Peruvian or Colombian and she's free to claim possible 1/1000 ancestry from any of those nations but not from the Cherokees, opinions to the contrary be damned!
