Israel's attorney general announced Thursday that his office had indicted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on corruption charges after a two-year investigation. The prime minister faces one count of bribery and two counts of fraud and breach of trust.

I think Israel’s libtards are trying to emulate our libtards in this. But there, the stakes are far higher. If they manage (G-d forbid) to get their own version of Hillary or Kamala or some other “Let’s all be friends” cretin elected, the muzzlimes will not hesitate to close in like sharks on a bloody carcass. In Israel particularly, elections DO matter.
I tend to steer clear of these legal situations in other countries. I’ve reached the point where I generally assume that anyone who has been in public office for decades like Netanytahu is a crooked SOB unless I’m presented with a good reason to believe otherwise.

Alan Dershowitz, a prominent American lawyer, came to Netanyahu’s defense earlier Thursday, publishing an open letter to Mandelblit in which he warned that an indictment against the prime minister ahead of elections would undermine the democratic process. “I’m very worried for freedom of the press and freedom of government in Israel if they start indicting people for trying to get good coverage from the media,” Dershowitz also told Army Radio, referencing Cases 2000 and 4000, which revolve around alleged illicit deals in which the prime minister allegedly offered favors in return for favorable media coverage. “I don’t know of any other country that has criminalized trying to get good coverage and make that a basis of bribery or any other corruption investigation.”

I have seen news features showing placid Israelis sipping coffee at outdoor seating areas of restaurants, casually trashing Netanyahu. Saying he’s “too warlike” and doesn’t compromise enough with the Arabs.
But if he and his protections from his party were gone, they would be over ruled, out voted and then overrun and kicked out by Muslims.
Then they won’t be free to chat over coffee in outdoor seating.
