Sounds to me Trump is walking when he realized Kim is not offering what’s needed.

Probably. It will be portrayed as a huge failure, and of course, it is. But you have to be willing to walk away. Rather than make concessions that result in a bad deal, you walk away and change the playing field. Perhaps after tightening sanctions again, maybe even a naval blockade, and renewed military exercises, DPRK will be more flexible.

I also blame ROK, as they have been far to weak and conciliatory. Time for them to step up their game.

It actually didn’t go wrong as I see it...

The status quo is better than the (prior)situation of three years ago And, while Kim is likely more disappointed than Trump DPRK is under sanctions and USA is not ...Further there is still a friendly atmosphere and talk goes on. Xi and Trump will meet soon and what comes of that will have an effect on the US-Korea entanglement.

So as some are saying...Where did it all go wrong ? ... It didn’t.
