HANOI, Vietnam — Talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un are wrapping up earlier than expected.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters on Thursday that "negotiations are still ongoing" between the two delegations. Trump and Kim were scheduled to have lunch but did not enter the dining room where reporters were assembled.

The status quo is better than the (prior)situation of three years ago And, while Kim is likely more disappointed than Trump DPRK is under sanctions and USA is not ...Further there is still a friendly atmosphere and talk goes on. Xi and Trump will meet soon and what comes of that will have an effect on the US-Korea entanglement.

Kim Un is the ‘puppit’ Trump knows the Nuclear hardliners control, which is why we keep seeing Trump warm up to Kim.....He’s playing Kim against them when possible because Kim wants his country to modernize and get out of this loop the hardliners continue to lay out there every time.
If you watch the video where the reporter mentions a “liason office” Trump jumped on it and said he liked the idea and wanted to hear what they would say about it...(Trump set up as Kim could respond or not on the spot), just as Kim began hardliner “Ri” quickly spoke up only to realize he had just revealed who carries the real weight in NKorea and as quick ‘allowed’ Kim to speak his mind.
N.Korea is all about smoke and mirrors....this was a breathtaking look at Trump bringing this guy “Ri” out from under the skirt of Kim and expose him....it was a beautiful thing to watch Trump operate..he knew exactly what he was doing.

Presidnt Trump showed Kim the wood shed and said,” Rocket Man, you do not want to go in there, especially with me.”
Kim was shocked at the detail of US INTEL resources. Kim thought he could conceal his nuclear ordnance and conduct a grift on President Trump. Kim got his a$$ very gently handed to him this time, and the message is.” No more f**king around!”
Kim will remember that woodshed and what might be lurking there. I predict this likely will be the last we see of Kim for quite a while, unless he can man up to what he promised instead of posturing and fooling around.
Kim wants to keep his nukes and reunify the Koreas under a power share agreement. PDJT is having none of it without full de-nuking.

I wonder if the sudden walk-out was planned by both leaders so they could go home and say, “See we are being tough on the other guys!” Then they could come back and agree to some of the things they did not agree to on this trip. And now that the South Korean leader has said he will involve himself again, he can continue to bridge the gap and keep the negotiating process moving forward.
No, I don’t think it was planned though it was clear before they met that if things did not go accordingly ‘walking away’ was certainly on the table. That’s how Trump works...because walking away is also a deal.
