"He deserved it anyway for other stuff" is not a legal principle. You actually have to convict someone based on real evidence of specific crimes. Your logic is on the same level as "Donald Trump is a racist ass ... let's impeach him for it".

Based on *one* person's testimony that doesn't even make sense. Sacristies are typically not private at all, they often don't even have doors. Choir members don't ordinarily go there after Mass, but everyone else does: the celebrant, concelebrating priests, deacons, altar servers, etc. It's about as private as Grand Central Station in my experience.
No one gets to level of cardinal without knowing about, likely being involved in homosexuality and predatory behavior. He was convicted, that is a good start. He should be executed. That’d be even better. As a Catholic I want to see strong decisive action against homosexual and predatory priests in the clergy.
