Sorry, seems guilty enough. Besides, if he knew of other predators and protected them, then this is well deserved karma.
"He deserved it anyway for other stuff" is not a legal principle. You actually have to convict someone based on real evidence of specific crimes. Your logic is on the same level as "Donald Trump is a racist ass ... let's impeach him for it".
Sorry, seems guilty enough.
Based on *one* person's testimony that doesn't even make sense. Sacristies are typically not private at all, they often don't even have doors. Choir members don't ordinarily go there after Mass, but everyone else does: the celebrant, concelebrating priests, deacons, altar servers, etc. It's about as private as Grand Central Station in my experience.
There is ample evidence that he DID NOT protect abusive priests. Pell has been a target of the gaystapo in Australia for a long time. Also his determination to root out financial corruption in the Vatican made him a target as well. You should do some more research. You also seem to miss the number of people who testified to not only the improbability of the allegations but the outright impossibility. Not just on these charges but on other allegations. During investigations of other allegations witnesses contradicted what accusers said happened.
He is innocent. He is not Australia’s McCarrick.
Not Catholic. Have fun. Popcorn time for me.
