President Trump's former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen on Tuesday said that he will let "the American people decide exactly who’s telling the truth" ahead of his widely anticipated public hearing before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday.
"I really appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to clear the record and to tell the truth," Cohen told reporters after his hours-long private testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
"And I look forward to tomorrow, to being able to use my voice to tell the American people my story," he continued. "And I’m going to let the American people decide exactly who’s telling the truth."
Cohen is expected to drop several bombshells about his work for the president and the Trump Organization during the public hearing on Wednesday.
Tuesday marked the president's former lawyer's first appearance before congressional investigators since he pleaded guilty last year to making false statements to Congress.

Um...except Donald Trump is not a convicted liar, as is Cohen.
Despicable how GOP intelligence Reps are allowing this farce while our President is on foreign shores negotiating to secure peace for the world’s future.

Each Republican should start with those opening questions.
‘Is it true you lied to Congress?’
‘Is it true you’ve been disbarred.’
Then go from there.
He's going to show the American people the truth just like Jussie Smollett did.
Well, if that's the case, didn't Cohen plead guilty last November of lying to a Senate committee? A convicted perjurer. And he's going to prison for it and other crimes.
How many convictions has Trump had for lying? Zero. None.
So the American people's decision about "exactly who's telling the truth" should be very easy.
A reasonable man would assume Trump is telling the truth no matter what this liar says.
Once a liar, always a liar. You can't believe a dishonest man.
This guy has Hillary’s lawyer for an “advisor”, so their plan is to sit around an gossip about Pres Trump all day on cable tv?

Not exactly. Dirtbag Cohen will also be appearing before the GOP led Senate Intell committee. As always, this is a bipartisan beltway smear on POTUS.
If he does accomplish something, their nasty attacks will backfire bigly. Look at the optics, juxtaposed. One man brings World Peace, even as the Democrat hounds tear at his flesh.
Trump was renowned for knowing whom to hire and fire. What a joke. He has not done well at it in this admin.
I do not think every word out of Cohen’s mouth here is a lie. He’s lost his law license but he isn’t lying about everything; that’s impossible. Trump is NO ANGEL, people. Stop worshipping the guy on our side. There is a great difference between supporting our guy and finding him infallible. I find it sickening when a party slavishly kisses a leader’s boots. We did it here on this site with W Bush and we were all DEAD WRONG about him. I won’t go there again. Trump has flaws. If he didn’t, he would have finessed better and managed his persona better, in order to get more done for us. He could have done more but he is stymied by Trump hatred, often brought about by Trump’s own pettiness. It’s a problem. Nobody’s perfect, but he could have reined in some of his ego and bluster and gotten even more accomplished (though I am happy with what he has been able to do for us.)
So I have to choose between a crooked lawyer who will be in jail for three years for lying to Congress, or a President who is bringing manufacturing back as promised and cracking down on human trafficking?
He told Mueller the same things. This hearing is just to give Mueller cover when he brings up the same allegations, but says the evidence for charges was sketchy and hard to find since it was likely destroyed.
Documented liar Cohen is competing with Jussie Smollett for the least credible stooge prize. What an unscrupulous lying rat.
Meadows is forwarding a criminal referral to the DOJ on Cohen. LOL
These lying Democrats are going to regret the day they ever agreed to bring lying Cohen to testify.
