Today, the United States Senate voted on an anti-infanticide bill introduced by Senator Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. The legislation needed 60 votes to pass, and it failed by a vote of 53 in favor and 44 against. The bill stated that if an abortion results in the live birth of an infant, the infant is a legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States, and entitled to all the protections of such laws.
The 2002 Born Alive Infants Protection Act, signed into law by President George W. Bush, established that any child born alive even as the result of an abortion is to be legally considered a person, human being, child, and individual in federal law. However, that law contained no penalties for those who choose not to follow it. Senator Sasses bill included penalties for abortionists who break the law, including a fine and/or imprisonment for up to five years.

“I can tell you when or how, but that it will happen is beyond doubt.”
Neither can I type well when I have insufficient caffeine in my system.
Agreed. She needs a primary opponent.
> bill protecting infants surviving abortion <
We need a constitutional amendment to protect those infants, and to protect all the other yet-to-be-born lives. Maybe a Convention of States is needed. Because anything less than a constitutional amendment won’t do.
But wait. The GOPe is just not interested. They are more interested in pumping up those H-1B visas.
I don’t know if I would have known about this had you not posted it.
Sick
evil evil evil Satanic evil people!!!!
they are taking us right back to barbarian times, over 2000 years of human progress and civilization they’re flushing right down the toilet with their savage baby-murdering...
EVIL! EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL EVIL
sorry i’m out of words
EVIL!
Is this the same country my Mother brought me into? Who fought to save me when I almost died of whooping cough?
Sad to say it no longer is.
I believe God will pass judgement on those who voted against this.
you nailed it! alas...
[(What) is wrong with these creatures?]
Spirit of antichrist.
This is just like the child sacrifices to Molek. God is going to pull the plug on the United States of America. We in fact have, like never before, missionaries from foreign countries ministering to our sinful nation. This abortion situation emulates those people who had no conscience during the Holocaust. It is very sad.
No doubt here either. I'm trying to get in my mind around how far America has fallen. Not even willing to protect a child born alive after a failed attempt to murder it. The ramification is literally going to be biblical.
You got NY state, and now Vermont and Illinois about to pass infanticide, and nowhere are there federal judges striking their laws down. It's total double-standard and states need to start ignoring federal judges who aren't even part of the Constitution anyway. All federal judges besides SCOTUS were created by Congress.
Wrap this vote around the ‘rats’ necks next year......
That’s no longer something she fears. She lost the nomination in 2010 and still won the seat - and wasn’t even on the ballot - she won as a write-in candidate. She knows now she can win not only without conservatives, but with her own party against her as well. She went event further to the left after that.
HELL is the operative term.
well there’s 44 folks having to face God one day about that vote against a live born baby not having the right to be called a living person.
9/11, whatever one thinks, certainly got this nation’s attention.
7+ years later, half of the nation was rooting for an Islamic apologist, baby killer and gay marriage proponent.
I fear what could be next. Some people think God isn’t real. He most definitely is.
Murdering not only unborn babies, but babies already born is the holy grail to the commie left(And some on the right) just disgusting. I would NOT want to be anywhere near them when they meet their maker it wont be pretty
Aren’t a majority of Americans, like 70+ percent, against this kind of “abortion”?
