Today, the United States Senate voted on an anti-infanticide bill introduced by Senator Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. The legislation needed 60 votes to pass, and it failed by a vote of 53 in favor and 44 against. The bill stated that if an abortion results in the live birth of an infant, the infant is a legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States, and entitled to all the protections of such laws.
The 2002 Born Alive Infants Protection Act, signed into law by President George W. Bush, established that any child born alive even as the result of an abortion is to be legally considered a person, human being, child, and individual in federal law. However, that law contained no penalties for those who choose not to follow it. Senator Sasses bill included penalties for abortionists who break the law, including a fine and/or imprisonment for up to five years.

And Donald Trump thinks he won the Senate.
“How awful when a person can not even vote to protect a baby born alive....evil people - evil times - God forgive us”
Ditto.
I didnt know we needed 60 votes so even though we do control the Senate its just not enough but I do want to know if any Republicans voted against this
Name the naysayers.
God help us.
Cowards.
Wow, that is absolutely disgusting. And I didnt think it was possible to despise these people anymore than I already did.
Even animals only do it rarely.
Ok Just found out that NO GOP Senators voted against it and that 3 Dem senators(Casey, Jones, and Manchin) crossed the aisle and voted with Republicans
WTH is wrong with these creatures?
Wow, the majority in the U.S. Senate are not representing their constituents.
WTH is wrong with these creatures?
Why the heck would they need 60 votes? I can’t find that anywere in the constitution.
[God help us.]
I’m more scared He might do the opposite.
A pathetic statement (this failure) on this nation’s elected “representatives”
It would be interesting to see the vote. Bet I can make some predictions (yeah, mostly Democrats being the problem....)
“The 2002 Born Alive Infants Protection Act, signed into law by President George W. However, I have a question: “Is a human life only worth “up to five years?” Doesn’t every single state make premeditated murder a crime that has a penalty of “up to life in prison” or “death?” So how is it that THE SAME PENALTIES shouldn’t apply to those MURDERING an infant ON PURPOSE, WITH MALICE AFORETHOUGHT?
We, as a nation, are going to pay a price for this. I can tell you when or how, but that it will happen is beyond doubt.
No, but 3 Republicans didnt vote, MooKowski, Cramer and Tim Scott (SC).
I think Cramer is absent, because he missed the next cloture vote on Eric Miller too.
Tim Scott DID vote on the Miller cloture vote at 6:12, so he has explaining to do.
MooKowski also missed both votes, but shes a planned parenthood shill.
If it was an endangered lizard, they would have voted to protect it.
Murkowski would probably vote against it since she supports Planned baby murdering Parenthood
“[God help us.]
“Im more scared He might do the opposite.”
It’s rather sobering when the veil is pulled back and the truth about abortion is at last revealed to the public in ways that cannot be denied or obfuscated.
We’ve seen the legislators cheer for the murder of an infant.
So, now that the cup is full, we can understand the “why”, if God decides to administer a correction.
No more excuses.
