Interesting that the long list of USA racial hoaxes is compiled by an Australian journalist.
North American “journalists” won’t touch this story.

Yes, and the Australian journalist is of Asian ethnicity. I think that most anglo-Australian men would not like to take this on. The word “racist” gets flung around so fast.
I’m done with my complaints about that guy. He is evidently much smarter than I - he has so much more money!

Twenty years ago in Iowa City, IA (University of Iowa), a vintage Mercedes Benz owned by a local Black minister was spray painted with racist language.
It was the “Crime of the Century” in Iowa City for a couple days.
Then, a local auto paint shop informed the Police that the minister had brought his Mercedes in for an estimate on a new paint job - a week before the racist vandalism.
Then, the custodian at the minister’s apartment complex discovered a can of spray paint in the dumpster - which had the minister’s fingerprints on it.
The minister was charged with making a false Police report, but I never heard if he was convicted or punished.
Sub-zero Chicago at 2am, really?! Couldn't wait a few days?
The lack of prosecution is inexcusable, and simply encourages more to perpetrate these frauds (in some cases seriously impacting the lives of falsely accused people who happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time).
The worst part is the root cause of most of these schemes (the failure of blacks to assimilate) will only worsen over time; without prompt prosecution, expect this nonsense to increase.

We had these even back when I was in college.
The campus police interviewed the party leaders of our political union’s particularly right party. It was insulting and creepy.
“Yes. We believe in things like individual liberty. No, that doesn’t mean we are racist. Yes, I am a sailor and I know how to tie a noose.”
I was in school in the early 90s, when BJ Clinton unleashed the PC atmosphere on us; hoaxes weren’t common yet, but you could see their origins. The college had one building primarily for “remedial classes”; these were classes for affirmative action tokens that lacked the high school classes without which whites and Asians wouldn’t even be admitted to the school. They could spend a couple of years there without earning a single college credit, and when they entered regular classes they were still miles behind real students. After a year or two, they dropped out; the basic problem with affirmative action is that they keep pushing preferred minorities one “pay grade” higher than they belong, and as a result they routinely underperform - and they know it. They listen to people using long words they don’t understand, and suffer crushing inferiority complexes as a result.
These hoaxes and “reparations” discussions are part and parcel of the same problem; what do you do with a permanent underclass that will never catch up? A tiny number will do well in entertainment (sports, music), a larger number get by in government pseudo-jobs, and a massive majority is relegated to the “grievance industry”.
Yep. There was a young man across the entryway from me Freshman year who just vanished at the end of first semester. He was one of those affirmative action guys. Great guy, too... But the college punished him (and the person whose place he took) forever in order to brag about socioeconomic and racial diversity among INCOMING FRESHMEN. Very sad. This particular guy could totally not hack it... Never read a book in his life. Not even Ramona Quimby. All of a sudden he’s staring at Joyce. I don’t think he could do long division on paper. All of a sudden he’s got some pretty challenging calculus. Tore him apart... We never heard from him again.
That really is a shame; if the guy had gone to a school for which he was qualified (even starting out at a community college and working his way up, or in a trade certification program) he may have been fine. Instead he retreats after getting crushed - and realizing these grades he has received his whole life are meaningless lies.
Oddly enough, many respond to the state’s initial failure early in life by demanding more government programs to create an illusion of a minority middle class later in life.
