Elizabeth Warren opens door to reparations for Native Americans

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Friday evening that Native Americans should be “part of the conversation” on reparations, showing a willingness to expand the debate over whether minority groups that have faced discrimination should be financially compensated by the federal government.
Warren is one of four Democratic presidential hopefuls who have said in recent days that they’re open to providing some type of reparations to African Americans who are descendants of people who were enslaved in the United States, although they’ve offered varying levels of details about how the goal would be achieved.
So far, Warren is the only one to entertain the notion of including Native Americans. “I think it’s a part of the conversation,” she said when asked whether the group should also receive some kind of relief. “I think it’s an important part of the conversation.”
This ground is fraught for Warren, who claimed to be Native American for about two decades when she was a law professor. She has apologized for doing this, but the issue dogged her in her first Senate race and has been a persistent source of tension in her nascent presidential bid.
Warren made the remarks on reparations after addressing about 900 New Hampshire Democrats at the state party’s annual McIntyre-Shaheen 100 Club Dinner at the Hilton in Manchester. Warren enjoyed a standing ovation when she walked onto the stage, and her speech was frequently interrupted by applause.

Don’t owe them a penny. Besides that, “reparations” to those who didn’t themselves lose the wars from those who weren’t themselves waging it are a form of working corruptions of blood ... which are unconstitutional.

Talk to Spain and the smallpox virus nation. As far as the US vs Indian tribes go, that was more of a cold war with atrocities and bad behavior or both sides.
Anytime Liawatha has a rally, a counter rally should be held close by. Bring in some big bass drums and constantly play the Indian drumbeat. That sound carries a long way. Just keep banging on the drum. Like in the old westerns!

Bring it on, I’m sure the 70% expected to pay the 30% will find a candidate opposed to paying the extortion. These problems were all resolved two or three generations ago and some of the slackers involved have had decades to take advantage of their (at least equal) opportunity but instead they sit back waiting for this boondoggle to pay off.
Or they waste our time with faked hate crimes.
The answer to all this is a 450-80 thumping in the Electoral College McGovern style. At least McGovern admitted he was nuts.
No DNA test needed (they don't recognize them for tribal inclusion anyways, Lia' told us that). Reparations given to those who identify with the tribe... declare in the morning the %age, check by mid-afternoon.
