Her problem was she didn’t have 2 nickles to rub together until she got her first paycheck. So she had about a 2 month period before she was sworn in. Looks like she found a solution and all is good now.
Welcome to “The Game”, AOC. Conservatives have to put-up with this crap all the time. Ask Steve Scalise.
Whomever threatened bodily harm to her is a menace deserving of prison. I blame the anti-Trump/anti-GOP “GOP is racist” demagoguery of her type for the assassination attempt on Steve Scalise and others.
Exposing the contrast and hypocrisy between her sophomoric posturing and her personal behavior is 100% fair game. These types are fueling the angst and rage, sewing division with social and political agitation based on ignorance of civics and economics and driven by an irrational hatred of established concepts that are foreign to her.
She put her boyfriend on her Congressional staff payroll. She lives in a luxury condo - no doubt that her BF kicks in for the rent which is the functional equivalent of luxury housing subsidy paid for on taxpayer’s dimes. This soft corruption deserves to be called out for what it is. Say what you will about Paul Ryan but he and many others slept in their offices or shared lower rent condos 2 or 3 to a unit to save money. They didn’t put their lovers on the payroll. It goes to show she’s not so ignorant on economic issues but rather a corrupted hypocrite, a wannabe dictator of the proletariat amassing all the trappings of wealth and power, a smarmy limousine liberal clad in designer suits but with the shallowness and ego of a 9th grader sitting on the high school student council.
Is her luxury condo energy efficient? Is she demanding the condo board to gut the building and retrofit it with solar panels, auto-shut-off LED lights, insulation? Will she seal her balcony doors so as to not waste the energy that heats and cools her unit?
Even Bernie has been tainted with this kind of incestuous corruption, but at least he is the poorest man in the Senate. AOC is using taxpayer money to sit in the lap of luxury while admonishing hard working Americans for whatever novel complaint she can come up with to fawn for the cameras. She deserves to be called out for it, publicly shamed.
I posit that her “solution” was to put her live-in boyfriend on her staff so that her Congressional office budget subsidizes her rent. It may be soft corruption but it is too clever by half and deviously deceptive and abusive of the taxpayer.
If I am wrong I welcome the correction. But I’d wager I’m right about this.
Indeed who is paying her rent? Does her boyfriend live with her? Does he pay a portion of the rent? That explains why she hired him as a staffer paid by her Congressional staff budget. A deceptive method to subsidize her lifestyle on the backs of taxpayers.
DO you want statements with all the i's dotted and t's crossed that is factually correct or do you want to be morally correct?
Seems like mass shooters don’t shoot you where you live but where you don’t.
I haven’t been following the boyfriend story, but I would assume arrangements have been made to get him a job. Seems to me it would be rather dumb to put him on her staff.
She is also starting to realize that the Dems who wanted Amazon in NYC have more clout with the enemedia than she does; she messed with the wrong political machine.
Just wait until she finds out her office and apt are heated with fossil fuels. I’m sure she’ll move to cut the heat off.
No it is not and you and others like you are the enemy at the gates
Keywords for the leftist cabal to ante up from the coffers of communism to support one of theirs.
Cheap labor and such does not come cheap
Just suffering for Karl Marx
She's been elected to a two-year term in the House. Did you think someone was going to arrest her, or force her to resign? LOL.
It appears that she has been thoroughly indoctrinated in some kind of commie boot camp ...
That's known as an American university, dude. So she graduates with highest honors and doesn't have a clue about anything except political propaganda and changing the subject when she makes an ass out of herself in public. It doesn't take any special training to learn that. She figured that out by her third shift as a bartender.
That’s not intelligence. It’s the princess syndrome. She doesn’t even understand how stupid she sounds.
Eventually, reality will hit her just like it hit Smollett, who still “Swears to God” that he didn’t do it. It will hit her just as negatively, but in a different way.
Leftists seem to think that somehow the world has an obligation to take them at their word. We don’t, and the more they try to use words to counter reality, the more obvious their cluelessness is and the bigger the mark it will leave on them.
People like her remind me of the Jewish woman in “The Pianist” that, with her husband was roused by the Nazis because they needed to be transported. As they are standing in line, waiting side by side, she asks the Nazi leader, “how long will we be here”. He looked at her, casually pulled out his Luger, and shot her in the head.
By the time AOC’s term is up, either she will be an embarrassment to her district beyond words, yet won’t have a clue herself. or the nation will have gone COMPLETELY mad (as opposed to only mostly mad, as it is today) and she will be the darling of presidential candidate talk. I believe the former will be the answer, and I suspect she will STILL not have a clue and pull the Smollett card until the day she leaves the public light.
So is the extreme financial well-being amassed while in office of ALL elected and appointed swampthings.
I wonder what kind of fossil fuel burning car she is using?
It sure as heck better be a hybrid. She is apparently aware enough to realize that an electric car is impractical in many situations, I will give her that tiny amount of credit.
If it’s not a hybrid, that will be even more proof that she is a hypocrite.
Even dullard Obama was smart enough to ditch his gas-guzzling Chrysler in favor of a hybrid when he was running for president the first time.
