The brothers who say Jussie Smollett hired them to stage the alleged attack were caught on surveillance camera buying a bunch of items they used during the incident.
The video -- first posted by CBS2 in Chicago -- shows Ola and Abel Osundairo at the checkout counter as they pile up the items, which include ski masks, gloves, bandanas, sunglasses and red hats.

At one point Abel pulls his hoodie over his head, perhaps attempting to hide his face, but he'd already been seen clearly on the video.
CBS2 says the brothers bought these items the day before the "attack" on Jussie.
The items are interesting ... we know Jussie said his attackers were wearing ski masks, and we also know police seized red hats when they raided the brothers' home in Chicago. The surveillance image police had released last month appears to show Abel and Ola with their faces still concealed under the ski masks.
As we first reported, the brothers were at court Tuesday, ready to testify for the grand jury -- but were called off at the last minute because Jussie's attorneys are going to speak to police.
We're told they will go before the grand jury when it finally convenes.
He's also going to federal prison, on federal charges, for the fake anthrax attack.
One would find it ironic if it turns out to be the federal pen out about 40 miles west of Oklahoma City... what he would consider MAGA country, AKA "White Hillbilly" country. (Misnomer alert: No hills west of Oklahoma City, but don't tell Jussie that.)
As I understand it, the caps weren’t truly MAGA - just meant to look like one on grainy security video. Just like the guys in ski masks weren’t supposed to be African American.

if they were buying the gear the day before the attack, wouldn’t it suggest Jussie concocted the hoax while in NY that day? and shouldn’t Zachary Quinto have gone public with his suspicions about the attack being similar to the plot instead of defending Smollett?

The day before “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was allegedly attacked in a homophobic, racist hate crime, he apparently auditioned for a play with a nearly identical plot, according to a report (LINK) from The Daily Mail.
The report states that Smollett had been in New York City auditioning for a role in a reboot of the 2003 Tony Award-winning play “Take Me Out,” a story about a gay, biracial baseball player victimized by racism and homophobia...
Two readings were done by the actors in attendance, which included Zachary Quinto, on the morning and afternoon of January 28.
Quinto would later speak out about the attack on Smollett, saying: ‘I was absolutely enraged by the injustice and the senselessness of such violence. but i was also vividly reminded that we MUST continue our fight for equality and acceptance at every turn in this country and in this world”...

Hoaxer Smollett came out as gay during a televised interview with Ellen DeGeneres in March 2015.
In a 2016 interview with Out magazine, Smollett clarified his sexual orientation by stating “If I had to label myself, I would label myself as a gay man.” However, he stated his belief that openness to love is more important than gender, revealing that “If I fall in love down the road with a woman, I’m going to love that woman.”
As a boy, Smollett had some romantic interest in girls. When Smollett’s gay character Jamal Lyon from Empire engaged in a tryst with a female character, Smollett defended the plot development by stating that he and Empire creator Lee Daniels were trying to create a conversation about sexual fluidity in the gay community.
Daniels has stated that “Jussie and I both share the same feeling that, yes, even though we are gay, we’re sexual human beings. And we do occasionally want to sleep with a woman.” Daniels stated that “We’re showing life on Empire”, in that both he and Smollett were incorporating their own sexual fluidity as gay men into Empire.
Doesn’t this genius ever watch Investigation Discovery, and know that surveillance cameras are EVERYWHERE?
This crap that Smollett pulled is what starts race wars and gives “protesters” the go ahead to demolish Walmarts and other local businesses. Twenty years in the Iron Bar Hotel sounds just about right to me. Local businesses should also bring lawsuits against the idiot for endangering their businesses.
