Former U.S. Senate candidate John James is seen as one of President Trump's top candidates to become ambassador to the United Nations, a source familiar with discussions about the matter told Fox News on Tuesday.
The source said James is the leading candidate and has expressed interest in the position to the White House. The belief among Trump's inner circle is that James is a rising political superstar, and the U.N. post could provide him with a pathway into elected office. White House officials also confirmed to Fox News that James is under consideration.

Wish he had run here in Michigan for governor instead. A better candidate than weak Schuette who lost.
In this case, he lacks some background, but with John Bolton mentoring him, he’d give a good performance for 20 months. I think in Trump’s second term....he’d make a great diplomat and be ready in 2024 for a VP role.

Absolutely. Foreign policy experience is a big plus. Might be tough to get him past the NYC-DC cabal that Pres. Trump relies on though.
Had heard that Richard Grenell is also under consideration.

With the marijuana vote this past time, no state wide office was going to be won by anyone with an (R) behind their name. It’s amazing the GOP kept the State House and Senate.

The Rats put 4 high Dem turnout initiatives on the Mich November ballot. So the the Rats flipped the Govenor, AG and SOS. The hapless GOP could have gotten all 4 on the August Primary ballot but again hapless.
He impressed me this morning on F&F. I like him.
