Television journalist Lara Logan poked the mainstream media beehive last week in a no-holds-barred interview where she bluntly accused many reporters of becoming “political activists” and even “propagandists” for the Left and said journalism has descended into “absolute horses**t.” The response has been furious, personal, and devoid of the respect normally demanded for rape survivors.
Lara Logan is a rape survivor in the most literal no-horsesh**t sense of the term. She was assaulted by a mob in Cairo while covering the Arab Spring uprising in February 2011 for CBS News and could easily have been killed. She has made it clear in numerous interviews that she feared for her life and found the strength to survive by thinking about her children.
Logan described the assault in her interview with Mike Ritland of the Mike Drop podcast, beginning with the story of how she insisted on covering the Tahrir Square protests despite 18 grueling hours in Egyptian custody, during which members of her team were beaten by security forces and Logan herself became sick from dehydration.

The fall of Hosni Mubarak was supposed to be a lovely flowering of democracy. The view Lara Logan got of the proceedings from that filthy street in Cairo did not fit the narrative, so her story does not loom large in the media’s collective memory.

Perhaps she in fact “lacked wisdom” but being “savaged” - raped - will forever be on the ones that committed the act. Lacking wisdom is not a crime, rape is. Their behavior brings to mind front & center the origin of the phrase “gang bang”. Given my druthers, these perps would henceforth & forever more whiz sitting down.

They don’t believe Allah has any issue with what they did; she wasn’t accompanied by a male relative (seriously).

Many in our government push for the decriminalization of abortion worldwide as well; it is an extension of the same thinking. These people have customs and traditions which, however barbaric to us, are for them to decide. We’ve lost the moral high ground in terms of dictating morality to others.
She needs to give Sharyl Attkisson a call to get some advice.
Now that she has escaped the Democratic plantation, she can start her REAL career.
There is a great demand in the world for the truth. She can help fill the void now that she has left the company and industry of liars.
She’s a Leftist POS. Jew-bashing is her only hope of getting invites to swell DC parties now that she’s committed political heresy.
The rabid left have short shrift for the abused Muslim women, that is for certain but huge sympathy for weak sisters like Blasey Ford who is a complete Democrat tool. I admire Lara Logan immensely. She has not made a career crying about being assaulted by a bunch of cult believers, but goes on courageously.
The 4th Estate has been ignoring Lara for 8 years... I couldn’t believe that the rape of a reporter by a mob in Egypt was a non story then.
But... didn’t fit the narrative.
The truly wise man learns from the mistakes of others.
The media is corrupt to the core.
Exactly what I tell my children. Hasn’t stuck yet.

Her experience has totally changed her (unfortunately, I wish that was not the case, what happened to her was unspeakable and I would prefer she had reminded a hippy dippy hollow headed liberal than have gone through that)
