199,999,999 bottles of milk on the wall,
199,999,999 bottles of milk....
Were on vacation in Gulf Shores right now.
Seems like all the tags are Mn Wi here.See flood warnings for back
home in Tn.
Crank up those solar panels.
It’s hard to tell for me. My Uncle moved to Vegas a few years ago, but lived in Florida for 25 years. When I told him I kept the A/C at 73 degrees during the summer, he said that’s too cold for him. He kept his A/C at 80 degrees. All this while he lived in Florida.
What else can you make with milk and bread and no power?
Oh, good grief. For a lot of those millions, there will be no significant frozen precip. We had sleet at the onset: Almost all melted when it hit the ground, and any remaining melted a few minutes later when the precip turned to all rain. Now, I suppose someone will get quite a bit of snow, but it'd be a lot more honest to be a bit more specific... Our local NWS office totally downplayed the "winter" aspect, though it does legitimately discuss our swollen rivers & flooding issues.
Me too... high of 14 degrees today where I am and that’s the warmest it’s been in a while.. but no state income taxes so we soldier on.
We need the pancake bunny at a time like this.
I had to drive to Kansas City from St. Louis last Friday. Drove past that really bad accident on our way back. The weather was brutal. Midwest weather can be serious stuff. I’m not laughing.
Don't forget the toilet paper! You know we need it!
And don’t throw it into the dryer.
k thunk, k thunk, k thunk....
I grew up in Hurricane country. Spent a couple of years in southern New Jersey. In March of 93, we got a hell of a storm. The grocery store shelves had been cleaned out by the locals pretty quick. For us, it was, a big shrug.
We were out of power for a day or so, but the snow eventually melted. Not like living without power for 2 weeks in 95F.
OK, you all have persuaded me to go grocery shopping on Wednesday before the “big one” hits. Do I need to build an ark, too?
It IS fair to say this is a large system. Part of it is at present in Western KS & Central NE. It extends all the way to well off the East Coast, and it’s not a line of precip / storms, it is a “blob”.
Nope.
We depend on them to bring additional moisture to the lakes.
The ones coming from the north bring bitter cold but very little moisture.
1-3 inches......It’s still winter last I looked.
I think that's because the media had not yet figured out that blowing an event completely out of proportion would be GOOD for VIEWERSHIP RATINGS.
I believe it's called turning "NOTHING into SOMETHING!"
