On the first day of his presidential campaign, Bernie Sanders picked up the support of his fellow home-state senator, Democrat Patrick Leahy.
Leahy, who endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Democratic primary, says he’ll back Sanders this year.
In a statement, Leahy said the Democratic field was strong and “Bernie’s entry makes the field even stronger.” He called Sanders “a proven leader with a strong message.” …

it makes sense for him to switch from HilLIARy to Bernie the Red.
there’s maybe a 5% chance old Bernie will be around (and able) to run for office in 2020, whereas HilLIARy’s already gone horizontal (other than for her super-charged Kickapoo Joy Juice injections)

The entire Dem nomination campaign is a charade just like last time. Bernie and the Jets (to dystopia) crew will all get their moments in the sun. But just like last time, the candidate has already been picked. Democrats don’t let their voters pick the candidate and they aren’t required to do so.
Michelle will sweep in late and take it. It’s a done deal.
