There was a time when they were victims and Stonewall was the solution... That time is past. Most ‘hate crimes’ against gays today are as fake as Nigerians wearing MEGA hats in Chicago yelling it's MAGA country... Which is NOT to say that all people have accepted everything about the gay community. They haven't - haven't anymore than the gay community has accepted everything about the MAGA community.
But most of us are sick of the fake pity parties because they're a crime against us. It's the same mentality that happened in the South years ago with the Emmett Til murder. The culture then was all to willing to believe ANYTHING bad about black citizens. Same with Jews in prewar Germany. AND now it's happening here with hundreds of lies and fake hate crimes aimed at Conservatives.
A different choice of victim is not ‘moral’... My point about Sheppard was that his death was used as a weapon to beat up innocent conservatives who had NOTHING to do with his death.
It appears the latest choice of victims is transgender people, mostly male to female (see link below). The numbers have risen dramatically in the past 3 or 4 years, with 2016 and 2017 having around 30. I don’t know whether that is more careful reporting, more publicity, or actual change in violence patterns. What did strike me was that around 2/3s of the victims in the past several years were listed as black or “of color”, but only one was listed in 2018. Why is that??? Change in reporting standards? It makes sense to me that there have been significant numbers of black male to female trans as black women have been considered the stronger sex by some, since in past decades black men have been under more pressure not to achieve.
