Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is expected to leave his role at the Justice Department by mid-March, a senior DOJ official told Fox News on Monday.
An announcement of who has been selected to replace Rosenstein could come as early as this week. A Trump administration official added that Attorney General William Barr has picked Jeffrey Rosen to serve as his deputy attorney general.
Fox News reported in January that Rosenstein was expected to step down in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition for Barr, who was sworn in on Thursday.

You were not alone. My hair was on fire.

I was preparing to perform seppuku before my horrified dogs before I spotted the error. Of course, that might disappoint the younger one who’s half American Bull Dog, about a quarter American Staffordshire Terrier, an eighth GSD, and an eighth Lab, plus a bit of Curbstone Setter. Being mostly “Pit Bull” (HORRORS!!) the form of my demise might have given him a few great dinners.
I wish he went to jail but treason requires helping a country at war with us.
Geez, Groundhog Day all over again!
After all of the anti-American activity and fraud, and real conspiracy with Kremlin ops, the greatest crime and threat to our near future, is if all these guys walk!
By letting all the high crimes and criminals go unchecked, we are sending the message, we set new precedent, that the DOJ, Intel Community, and the deep state global socialists can pick our presidents, and that we are unwilling and unable to protect our Constitution!
There really is no way around this.
Either we take down all of this big time illegal “wire tapping”, “unmasking”, the niagra falls of leaking classified materials, lying to Congress, fraud, real seditious and treasonous conspiracy with Kremlin/British/Australian operatives, illegally paid for Kremlin information from HRC and Billy, multiple obstructions of justice, illegally defying Congress, etc, etc... or our system is dead, here and now. Even if we don’t fully realize it yet.
Letting this go is as bad, and even worse in ways, than the crimes!
Letting this go, makes all who allowed it to happen, guilty of killing our Constitution and liberty!
When the anonymous Op=Ed appeared in the paper from an official in President Trump’s administration reassuring us that “someone on the inside was watching out for us, because evidently the Americans required protection from our President.”
My first tought: DAN COATS.
I should have made some wagers.
Coats is a worm, always was, always will be.
If this is true, either Trump has given his ear to the worst trojan horse, somehow still in His sphere of influence, or it becomes really hard to believe Trump truly wants justice, or is willing to defend our Constitution.
Right now, the lesser of the evils is the first option.
Someone is really negatively influencing Trump from the inside.
Trump needs an unashamed patriot and lion to go after all those who have used their offices to destroy our nation!
After all Trump has gone through with Sessions and Rosenstein, this makes no sense.
To simply place others of the same swamp ilk, who will make an effort to hide the horrific crimes committed, in order work and play nice with the same enemy who seeks our destruction as a nation, either portrays a person who does not understand the enemy, portrays a person who does not understand what is at stake, or portrays a person who thinks he can keep playing with fire and somehow keep winning.
I truly pray I am wrong!
This is truly disturbing.
I truly pray this is all wrong, and these guys really go after the murderous cabal surrounding our Constitution and liberty!
He should step into a jail cell!

Of course I full agree with you—a cell near McCabe and Mueller. Oh, the stories they can tell in the prison lounge after a supper of hot corn starch chipped beef on white toast with frozen mixed vegetables as a side.
Really ——
So the first $40 million of his golden parachute payoff money for keeping quiet from “friends” in a certain foundation will be taxable by Ocasio Cortez and the new rich guys’ tax bracket. He’ll be sorry he didn’t space out the payoff.
Thanks for the link and relief!
We shall see how this goes.
Are you kidding?
Andrew McCabe: I can’t describe to you accurately enough the pressure and the chaos that Rod and I were trying to operate under at that time. It was incredibly turbulent, incredibly stressful. And it was clear to me that that stress was was impacting the deputy attorney general. We talked about why the president had insisted on firing the director and whether or not he was thinking about the Russia investigation and did that impact his decision. And in the context of that conversation, the deputy attorney general offered to wear a wire into the White House. He said, “I never get searched when I go into the White House. I could easily wear a recording device. They wouldn’t know it was there.” Now, he was not joking. He was absolutely serious. And in fact, he brought it up in the next meeting we had. I never actually considered taking him up on the offer. I did discuss it with my general counsel and my leadership team back at the FBI after he brought it up the first time.
I like what I saw of Whitaker. Is he still at the DOJ?
Trump chose ‘Jeff Rosen’ to be Deputy Attorney General. Rosen is a HARD-Core LEFTIST. Research Rosen, but use a Vomit bag while you read his life of Leftist Activism.
Lois Lerner 2.0. Guilty as sin, free as a bird.
Im scared what he knows since Trump didnt fire him right away.
Rosendirtbag was never fired because he has top cover from the GOP. They wanted him to supervise and assist the Mueller Coup because it gives them more power. It’s that simple.
It’s good that he’s stepping down, he’ll have time to serve time.
