HAHA! That kind of happened to me in real life one Christmas shopping season. I had seen a thing I thought a friend would love, but it was ridiculously expensive, like $70 for an earring holder. Later that year the price went down to $20. I was elated. I bought it, my friend did love it, and I probably spent that $50 in savings ten times over because I kept saying to myself: I saved so much on that gift for M., I can surely buy this other thing now!
