I’m telling you - this story disappeared from the news here very quickly after the announcement; the enemedia must have gotten feedback that this wasn’t playing well with average NYers. Young people are vocal digitally and can give the impression of large numbers, but few people were happy with this outcome.

I think NY had more to gain, and Amazon eventually realized it; a lot of high-paid workers don’t want to move to NYC from cleaner, cheaper places.
I agree. There are a lot of beautiful sites to see in New York City. However, not being to find a decent public place to urinate kind of negates the quality of life there.
It is a unique city, but too many ferals are one subway fare away from you.
