WASHINGTON — Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said in an interview that aired Sunday that a "crime may have been committed" when President Donald Trump fired the head of the FBI and tried to publicly undermine an investigation into his campaign's ties to Russia.
McCabe also said in the interview with "60 Minutes" that the FBI had good reason to open a counterintelligence investigation into whether Trump was in league with Russia, and therefore a possible national security threat, following the May 2017 firing of then-FBI Director James Comey.

If you want your collusion conspiracy so bad how about this whole incredibly expensive and drawn out investigation is just revenge for firing Comey...and/or for Hillary’s loss.

Nice try McCabe but everybody already knows what's going on here. You know your arse is in a sling and you're doing everything you can to turn the blame around and make it sound like Trump was the bad guy and not you and your cabal at the FBI/DOJ.
IIR correctly, Rosenstein wrote a memo recommending Trump fire Comey. In hindsight, that memo was probably just a prop to set up the Special Counsel Muller's witch hunt, but it makes it sound like you guys at the FBI and DOJ want your cake and eat it too.
Writing a book and going on TV doesn't exonerate you. Your day will come soon.
Its funny to remember that up to the moment Trump fired him, Democrats had called for Comey’s firing. And of course, Rosenstein actually fired him, wrote the justification letter, and then opened the investigation of Trump for what he himself did.
Its also funny to remember that Fusion was on Russia’s payroll, Steele was on Russia’s payroll, Podesta (Clinton’s brain and fixer) was on Russia’s payroll, and of course the Clintons themselves took in an enormous amount of money from Russia. Everyone was on Russia’s payroll except Trump.
Except for that little thingy that McCabe is a known, documented liar.

it involves individuals from the Obama Admin/intel agencies/HRC campaign/DNC/FusionGPS/foreign agents, including alleged Russians.
it involves an attempt to stop Donald Trump becoming President, and to remove him in a coup once he became President.
many in the FakeNewsMSM are implicated.
all of these people should be arrested and charged.
Or, going with their usual line of BS about him, they would have us believe that a man who conned the entire world into thinking he is a billionaire and one of the top real estate developers in the world when he is neither, parlayed those lies into being a reality TV star but left because his ratings were going down, and then conned his way, by coordinating help from the Russians, into getting 63 million people to vote for him across the country to win in the Electoral College all for the purpose of enriching himself by having foreign leaders stay at his hotels, suddenly lost every ounce of cunning he had to accomplish those things and illegally fired the FBI director in broad daylight to make it easy to remove him from office.
Yeah, those are believable scenarios.
What a farce. After Mueller indicted the supposed Russian hackers; Rosenweasel took to the TV cameras to unequically state that the indictments had nothing to do with POTUS DJT; that there is and was NO evidence of collusion between DJT and Russia, in any form or fashion.
Not only that, but it now turns out that immediately after he did so, the little creep went running to McCabe, offering to wear a wire in order to find out why Trump fired Comey, knowing full well that he was the one who suggested it in the first place.
I loathe these creatures so much.
Does the dimwit remember that Hillary and Obama RESET our relations with Russia and now they are our friends? Or did that fiasco fall through without fanfare? Mr McCabe is very dangerous to this country. He belongs in jail.
McCabe sounds like a danger to himself.
The President has the Constitutional right to fire the head of the FBI for any reason or no reason. It can’t be obstruction of justice. And this was supposed to be a counterintelligence investigation. There was no justification for a Special Counsel because there was no alleged crime.
McCabe is a vindictive, petty bureaucrat who used his authority and power to initiate a coup against a sitting President in retribution for the firing of his boss and mentor, Comey. All involved in this plot must be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
So Comey was then (after firing ) available to the Mueller witch hunt investigation? Where;s the obstruction? Actually firing that seditious POS Comey made him MORE available to Mueller not less so.
In a sane rational world McCabe would be giving interviews dressed in orange behind bars.
