Ivanka is only due praise insofar as she outwardly backs her father’s presidency.
That from within she is pulling it to the left every chance she gets — and is responsible for Kushner being in there mucking everything up while also pulling to the left is indefensible.
Her general vapidity and constant insinuation into events involving world political and business powers is sickening.
I’m not pleased at some of the stuff she does either.
In the end, he is supervising her.
I’ve defended her in the past. She is doing things he has tasked her to do. Tossing out a bone in the form of supporting women globally, is going to play well in certain quarters.
As for polishing Merkel’s apple, I’m not a big fan. It’s what you do when you go abroad. She wouldn’t be the one to criticize her. Trump will do enough of that on his own IMO.
If Merkel gets kudos from an offshoot of the Executive Branch, it’s going to make it easier for her to swallow the main criticism when it comes.
I’m just providing an alternative thing to consider.
I didn’t like seeing her championing Merkel. I think Merkel has been a terrible leader.
