Josh and I wrote a cool song together this week. He started with with a bass line.

Penny would prefer to go to the bank and the craft store rather than walk outside! LOL!

I love my new sewing machine.

Howdy, Kathy! ((((hugs))))

You’re very welcome. It’s the least I can do for our troops!

Yay that the new computer is here. I hope it’s wonderful and fast and gives you many years of service. I have observed that my MacBooks have held up much better than any of my Windows computers ever did. Maybe I’m not as hard on them any more. LOL!

More updating...

Rus’s hemoglobin appears low so they may need to give him a transfusion, just checking a clean blood sample, if it’s over 8 they won’t need to. They are also working on getting an MRI on his head for more in depth analysis after yesterday’s CT scan, they just need to make sure he has no residual shards of steel in his head. Still fuzzy, eating little bits, sleeping quietly now. They put the paws back on him earlier because he pulled his IV out.

He’ll be needing that transfusion...

LATEST UPDATE FROM 30 MINUTES AGO:

Rus is getting a transfusion, should be done by 11:45 tonight. He’s resting nicely after pulling his IV out this morning and trying to pull his catheter out this afternoon

Talking keyboards

In a previous life I was a teletypewriter repairman. The Model 28 was the most popular and the NYSE and the AmEx just about ran on them. In the NY Stock there were a couple of operators who insisted on NOT useing the standard QWERTY keyboards. They wanted ABCDEF keyboards. It took a bit of doing to reconfigure the internal mechanisms, but I took it as a challenge. The keytops themselves had to be made special by Teletype Corp. because these machines had only upper case and used the shift function (FIGS-LTRS) to access numbers and symbols.

Another oddity I remember concerns an operator on the floor of the NYSE, not the keyboard itself. We called this fellow "Knucks". Ya see, he didn't type with his fingertips he typed with his knuckles!

Long time ago...had to pay close attention as the key stroke was hard.

A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
