McDonalds customers craving the fast food giants famous Shamrock Shake struck gold this week. The popular minty green milkshake made from McDonalds vanilla soft serve blended with Shamrock Shake syrup and topped with whipped topping is officially back on the menu, the company announced on Twitter, Thursday. Shamrock Shakes have have earned an impressive cult following over the years since McDonalds first debuted the beverage in 1970. Like the McRib, Shamrock Shakes only come to the Golden Arches for a limited time.

Problem is the lazy McDonald’s workers in half the locations will have “ice cream machine broken” signs up whenever you go to get one. I swear they just don’t want to clean the machine or bother with refilling it or something.
Then you should ask for the number of the franchise owner, or call corporate in Chicago
The mint flavor was yuck.
The ones that were vanilla only but colored green were fine.
Here is the real question: “When is the McRib” going to be back on the menu?”
That excuse has been used for decades in fast food outlets.
To clean it properly, it probably does take some time and planning. One would think that by now, a more simplified ice cream machine would have been designed for commercial use.
An ice cream machine that could be cleaned with just a few steps. But for those who don’t want to work in the first place, there will always be a problem.
Yeah. Years ago I hit the McDonald’s drive-thru late one night specifically for a couple of cheeseburgers and a vanilla shake. The voice told me, “we ain’t got no chakes,” so I canceled my order and went to BK across the street.
The McVomit.
my husband loves these.
One close to me - somebody poured milk in the ice cream machine.
I love milk, but not as the overwhelming majority of ice cream - ice milk it was.
BK fries really do taste better and their fish sandwich much better at BK.....
"Fascinating."
BK’s fries are also better cold than McDonald’s, and you’re right about the BK fish. Years ago they had a limited-time pork tenderloin sandwich, which was also very good.
The McRib was popular, but to me it tasted like a hotdog with barbecue sauce. Id like to see the Beefsteak sandwich return to their menu. It came on a toasted French roll, with onions and steak sauce on the side.
Or the "steak sandwich," which was little more than chopped beef, but in my opinion the best item they ever sold.
Only peripherally related, but fter first seeing a thread about it here at FR a few weeks ago, then some TV commercials for it, but I was really looking forward to their new Cheesy Bacon Fries (or is it Bacon Cheesy Fries?)
Anyway my area MCD’s finally has them on the menu.... They are horrible. The cheese sauce is almost sort of cheese flavored, but has the texture and adhesive qualities of wet/dry asphalt roofing patch cement.
The Bacon Quarter Pounder is not bad though.
As a young lad, I worked at McDonalds for a few years back in late 70s early 80s when the beefsteak was on the menu. I ate Mickey Ds every day I worked. Disappointed when it was discontinued.
Linda Blair is so happy her head is spinning.
Yeara ago Carls Jr had a California Roast Beef—thin-sliced roast beef with a mid chile (pepper) on a good bun. Long gone.
Forget the McRib and the Beefsteak.
Look what you can get at Mickey D’s and BK in Spain.
The clown wants to up market share here in the US? Offer some of this.
