Two men arrested in connection with an alleged attack on "Empire" star Jussie Smollett have been released without being charged due to new evidence from interrogations on Friday, Chicago police said.
"Due to new evidence as a result of today's interrogations, the individuals questioned by police in the Empire case have now been released without charging and detectives have additional investigative work to complete," police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement.

I would like to think that. But this guy will never serve time. I don't think he will even be indicted with evidence. It will be swept under the rug. Got to keep the Chicago minorities happy. If by chance he does get charged, his best bet would to go for a jury trial and not take a plea deal. A Cook county jury will let this guy off for sure. He's just been a victim of racism and homophobia all his little ol life.

Has anyone thought about whether Smollett was paid by some Dems in DC? Didn’t they have some bill up about making lynching illegal or something? It just passed in Congress, didn’t it? Would there possibly be a connection there??
