Wouldn’t spend too much time wondering about that, I’d just take it as a rational conclusion.
So according to many good sources, it is all a trick. The bill will preclude any of the Nat Emergency action. Either he is a fool, or thinks we are.
I read somewhere that with the Emergency Declaration that Trump, as President, can take action he deems necessary, including nullifying provisions of a bill that are harmful to the security of the United States.

It may not be crap. Congress gets out of having to vote against the wall. My bet is Congress won’t stand in the way of the emergency if it means they don’t have to go on the record

Yep. He should have shut down the government again. These people are acting like enemies of the United states. That bill is an absolute insult and it really makes me wonder if drug cartels now have congress in their back pocket.
To what end? If the GOP doesn’t want to support POTUS after 35 days of shut down on immigration/the wall they never will.

Sorry, but no. A "State of National Emergency" overrides a bill. Trump can ignore any part of said bill he doesn't like.

He is signing a bill that contains the language that guarantees he will lose in court. The NE does not mean much when he knows court will kill it because singed this POS.
Did he actually sign the bill yet? I didn’t hear Trump mention once (never mind endorse) the Spending bill, during his WH press conference.....
