President Trump will take dramatic actions to fund his long-promised border wall and declare a national emergency, which will enable his administration to move $8 billion from various federal agencies to fund the project, a senior administration official told Fox News late Thursday.
The news comes as Trump is expected to sign a House border security package that provides $1.4 billion for the project, which is far below the $5.7 billion Trump insisted he needed and would finance just a quarter of the 200-plus miles he wanted.
Sarah Sanders, the White House press secretary, said earlier today that Trump will sign the spending bill and declare a national emergency at the same time tomorrow morning.
The White House said hed sign the legislation but act unilaterally to get more, prompting condemnations from Democrats and threats of lawsuits from states and others who might lose federal money or said Trump was abusing his authority.

I’m pretty sure that, that’s 8 Billion more than your other favorite politician got for the wall...
Because he won’t give the liars and the propagandist justification for their slanders of being a dictator.
It demonstrates that he compromises and works for all Americans and not just the ones that agree with him.
Thanks.
You got my back
You turd polishers always try to make those who are unhappy with any decision into #NeverTrumpers, grow up.
By the way Coulter predicted this and she got more grief from Freepers than Obama did. I have voted against someone in every election since Ike, until Reagan then Trump. I doubt I will ever vote for another presidential candidate but if I live long enough I will vote for Trump.
If this bill does half bad things it looks like it will do then it won't matter anymore, we will never have another Republican President.
what about Brian’s gofundme wall effort?
There has got to be some way for sincere US Citizens wanting secured borders and safety to support and further the efforts when our congress and senate stab us in the back helping the problem/invaders instead of doing the right thing by protecting US Citizens.
Are you just as sick of the President kneeling before them?
The bill only covers seven months of funding.
compromise is one thing, signing a bill that outright aids in destroying the USA is another. That’s not being a dictator to want to be in line with constitution when nancy and the other spoiled children in leadership positions are all about unconstituional matters being made law.
Troll.
Both margins are veto busting margins.
It's a waste of time to play hardball on this. It's over and Trump has more important things to do.
Do I like it? I detest it. Rush said it was a dirty rotten bill, or something close to that. None of us like this cr_p.
The senate vote was: Yea 86 Nay 14 LINK
The House vote was: Yea 300 Nay 128 LINK
Oh and I am sure the GOP will take a stand in 7 months and shut down illegal immigration. Right?
They have the sequester to deal with. Read the piece by Mark Thiessen from WaPo
You are going to hear lots more of it.
Several states’ attorney generals are already saying they will file lawsuits. And one of them is bound to get a leftist judge. And then in the end, it will fall on how Roberts votes.
LOL!
Well, the upshot is we won’t waste money on a wall this spending bill elminates the need for...
A judge is much more likely to throw a raised brow on 8 billion dollars rather than 4 or 5 billion. I’ll wager you that this “8 billion” number is being thrown out there by Mick Mulvaney. Trump would be wise to use lower amounts.
