The root of the problem is the politically imposed high cost of doing business in NYC, which requires subsidization to attract business, which, in turn, attracts “corporate greed” attacks from communists like O-C. If O-C were running the state rather than Cuomo, firms like Amazon would need even larger subsidies to survive NYC.

I would be especially interested in what New York congressional Rats have to say about Occasional Cortex’s opposition to Amazon. I can’t see how any of them would be happy about Braying Donkey Teeth cheering the loss of Amazon and its “corporate greed.”
Perhaps the Rat party will target Occasional Cortex to get her socialist @ss kicked in the 2020 primaries. She’s clearly bad for New York state’s economy.

Have you considered the extra employment and associated costs that Amazon would have to pay to induce employees to stay in NYC — high taxes, high housing costs, bad schools, etc.? These costs are higher in NYC than in the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC.

Oh please. If you have to pay a company to locate in your state, you are doing something wrong. What about the businesses that have been burdened by high taxes, regulations, union - for decades? No, they drive old business out, then bribe new business to come in. It’s a terrible economic policy.
I wonder if he’ll spin that wheel he has in his office to see whom to blame. He’s already accused Trump and Florida for NY state’s budget dilemma.
