Will wonders never cease? Erick Erickson, one of the original leaders of the NeverTrump movement and the one who initiated the NeverTrump hashtag, has come out saying he will vote for the Trump-Pence ticket in 2020. Quoting Erickson:
I will vote for Donald Trump and Mike Pence. And, to be clear, it will not be just because of what the other side offers, but also because of what the Trump-Pence team has done. They've earned my vote.
My, my, my.
Probably not many here care what Erickson has to offer. I don't. But look at his conversion as yet another straw in the wind pointing to a Donald Trump win in 2020. Other straws blowing in the same direction are Trump's knockout State of the Union speech; his massive rally in El Paso; the Rasmussen poll showing that over 50 percent of likely voters approve of the president's performance; and, last but not least, the total lunacy that has captured the Democratic Party.
Regarding this last point, the Democrats are self-destructing. What is particularly delicious about this is that their lapdog media are encouraging the party's suicide. How? By giving such prominence to an empty suit like Robert Francis O'Rourke (AKA Beto) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a truly certifiable loon. No doubt the media think that by doing this, they are pushing the dial farther to the left. They are dead wrong. Rather, what we're seeing at play is a case of the ancient wisdom of Euripides, who is attributed with the insight, "Those whom the gods wish to destroy, they first drive mad."

The GOP is the greatest conn going..
Erickson voted for another Mormon comrade, Mc Muffin just like Mittens told him to!
No one cares what Erick the Fat says or does. The only thing that matters is getting his ass off my radio!
Erick Erickson used to sub on Rush Limbaugh and he was the worst.
who cares ... Erickson has been exposed as a fake conservative in the pockets of the power elite, and will now remain on the outside and always will be ...
With regards to someone being a rank and file voter, I agree. I'll happily give credit where due when somebody changes their mine. On the other hand, when that person holds him or herself out as a political analyst, pundit, prognosticator or commentator, their outright failure to see where Trump was headed from the moment he came down the escalator in 2015 pretty much undermines any credibility they have in their chosen profession.
I can laud somebody for being happily married in a stable, loving, committed relationship. But if their chosen profession is as a marriage counselor and they have four or five prior failed marriages, I'm probably going to look elsewhere if I need their professional services.
I quit listening to him on WSB after he started that Never Trump crap. I think he got his feelings hurt when Trump snubbed his GOP meeting (i cant remember the name of it) then Sir Eric dis-invited Trump as a little hissy fit. He wants to be a King maker.
What is it with these so called Conservatives? They are not conservative, if they vote third party, any third party vote is a vote for The Witch....
Why would anyone listen to anything this guy has to say.
He knows that he cannot make any money being an never Trumper, so he throws in the towel.
It took him two years?
No, the Russian-Collusion lie has run it’s course, so they have thrown in the towel. They all wanted to believe that the Russians were behind the Trump election and worship the Intelligence community, like the corrupt FBI.
“A lot of the NeverTrumpers were against him because they didnt trust him to govern as a conservative.”
nope. the fake-conservative GOPe power elite KNEW Trump was exactly what he said he was: a true outsider who would govern as a real conservative, something that is total anathema to the fake GOPe power elite invested in open borders, globalism, and totally screwing we peasants while pretending to us for decades that they were really conservatives who had our best interests at heart ... e.g., the Bushes, McCains and Romneys, et. al. ...
Well, he has certainly expressed he change of heart re: DJT. Good for him. Perhaps others will also go public with their new views. We ought to be praising Eric for his honesty and willingness to humble himself in admitting his new political admiration for DJT’s accomplishments.
In the back of my mind I hear a voice, “It’s a trap.”
