I don’t know enough about this situation to comment, but you can do a lot of harm to your organization by killing off your talent base.
Looks like other entities may benefit from this.
Evidently they seem to think so.
This isn’t the case, the developers weren’t touched with the layoffs. It’s all marketing, “Social media writers”, and PR people.
If this is the first big RIF since the merger, there was likely a lot of deadwood to let go.
