A Republican-Democrat border security deal that is expected to be offered to President Trump funds about $1.3 billion for a United States-Mexico border wall and includes no increase in detention space to control increasing illegal immigration at the border.

This funding is set to provide about 55 miles of new border wall along the roughly 2,000-mile long southern border. Much like the 2018 omnibus spending, which prevented Trump from building a border wall out of new materials, the deal is set to tack on stipulations as to what the barrier can be made from and where it can be placed.

Defense Department officials have reiterated that Trump does not need approval from Congress and, also, does not have to declare a national emergency to begin construction of the border wall. Instead, the president could have invoked 10 United States Code § 284, which authorizes the U.S. military to build barriers at the southern border, a Pentagon official has testified to Congress.

Piglousy is making this all too easy... no deal=shutdown... nobody outside of DC cares... then after 30 days the SES (and more) is eliminated via RIF.

I just don’t understand this. From listening to various FOX programs last night, it seems that they’re all talking about people already here who are being rounded up they need beds for - people WHO HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE and not recently crossed - those they’re getting ready to deport?
It was as confusing as listening to Cavuto at 4 last evening with Steny Hoyer. Hoyer was going on and on about the list of items that the president had just been given by DHS and that he read with all the sheriffs in the room with him. He was warbling that the president had it all wrong and Cavuto was talking about the number of beds. Neither one of them shut up long enough to listen to what the other one was saying or to dispute anything. Absolute waste of time.

The military needs to provide “beds” for the traitorous members of Congress. The Left and collaborationist Republicans are rushing to destroy the US before the remaining Americans can stop them.

True but its not just the GOPe. They may be the driving force but the rest of the GOP does little to stop them. The party as whole has a long history of weakness and appeasement. Its deeply embedded in the party’s DNA.
In the novel, the President wanted to do it quietly without the public knowing. I say, openly go after with Trump making a prime time address announcing that he’s doing it.
Why doesn’t he do it then? Does he want a second term? Sometimes I wonder. He has to know if Democrats ever get full control of the government this country is finished. I was reading an article today on Brietbart that 120 MILLION people want to come into this country, over 1/3rd of the entire US population and Democrats will have no issue allowing that to happen. The democratic party today is totally different from the party that existed pre-Obama, it’s run by absolute psychopaths now that want to bring us down to a 3rd world hell hole.
