Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) said on Monday that he will oppose President Trump's attorney general nominee, becoming the first Republican to come out as a "no" vote on William Barr.
Paul told Politico that he had concerns about Barr's record on privacy, calling him a "chief advocate for warrantless surveillance of U.S. citizens."
A spokesman for Paul didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. The libertarian-leaning GOP senator had previously raised concerns about Barr, who also served as attorney general to President George H.W. Bush.

You think? Can you expand on that?
You add it to the front page yourself, as you are adding topics prior to posting.
I think Doug Jones from AL has already come out in favor hasn’t he?
I dont know how to do it.. sorry, im a newbie. can you mail me instructions?
Yes he has. And Manchin will vote for him as well.. he will get confirmed.
I don’t trust Barr.
His wife attends a Bible study with Mueller’s wife. Makes it harder to put his wife’s friend’s husband in prison where he belongs.
Welcome newbie. I didnt know there was a front page.
See #36 for a start.
He’s Bush League/Deep State all the way.
And never saw a wiretap he didn’t like.
Why does Trump surround himself with these dubious characters? especially Bush cronies... I will never understand it. Thanks for your efforts in exposing the corruption.
The Randstander strikes again.
WHITAKER is UNLEASHED now; he’s doing just fine ... maybe Barr will choose him DAG and then he can go through the ringer ;)

Gee, there’s your comment right there, looks to me.
For the record, I announced my support for Trump on this site in May of 2015.
And have not wavered since.
Apparently until tonight when you make it clear that you would deny Mr. Trump the AG of his choice. With that kind of support, Trump needs to make deals with Pelosi. Thanks, Bud.
Hopefully Barr is a “temp” hired to do some specific jobs.
His record on the Second Amendment is crap.
Correct.
I would not confirm Barr.
Trump has already made one bad choice at AG, that much is nearly universally agreed by all.
Or do you dispute that too?
If Barr is what Rand says he is, then I don’t want him in the job either. Deep state swamp must die, even if we have to nuke it from space, just to be sure.
I wouldn't be surprised if President Trump agrees with Sen. Paul on Barr. Unfortunately, he has to pick someone that will get confirmed and with everyone having such a hard-on over the Mueller investigation, he has to take this into consideration.
Trump's best pick by far was Scott Pruitt. He showed up to the EPA with a flamethrower and basically sacked over it.
I'm still pissed about this.
That is an understatement and a point well taken.
So true. Trump sure has exposed both parties and now we know for sure what a pile of dung the republicans have become and it's a byproduct of him making America great again.
