I dunno... I’m kinda intrigued by the idea of underwater high-speed trans Atlantic choo-choo trains.
The floating bridge idea is... ...innovative, as is the submarine vacuum tunnel concept. Both sound very Roddenberry to me. Many strong engineering problems would have to be solved — at vast expense. Plenty good government jobs (or contractor jobs: just as good) would really spin off many fine new imaginative products.
