Hmmmm no..cops don’t have to say anything. Union rules. All the chief will have to go on is the official report and the investigation. Cops can refuse all interviews. Nice racket for the criminally inclined cop, eh. And All good cops will protect and cover for the bad ones.
And taxpayers pick up the settlement costs and the officers will retire with disability bonuses in their pension checks.
