Five million Latin Americans plan to migrate to the United States in the next 12 months, and an estimated 42 million more say they want to enter the country.
Those statistics were in a report from Jim Clifton, the chairman and CEO at Gallup:
Forty-two million seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make the move. This suggests that open borders could potentially attract 42 million Latin Americans. A full 5 million who are planning to move in the next 12 months say they are moving to the U.S.
The poll came as Democrats began using their new political clout to try to widen the catch-and-release loopholes in President Donald Trumps border defenses.

They are taking over and nary a shot will be fired.
The mistake you are making is assuming there are always citizens available who are qualified to do the job AND are willing to work for wages the employer can afford. STEM college is hard and many Americans do not wish to go through a curriculum such as structural engineering which has the highest flunking rate.
You’re right. Trump is only a speed bump. God bless him for doing his best for America.
I can vouch for poster laplata. I have read his/her posts for years, and he/she is as good a conservative as it gets.
And I also agree that personal attacks are a trait of a liberal mind.
Couldn’t have said better myself. Even bigger problem are legal immigrants under chain migration. Because their numbers are bigger. See my tag line.
Great post, agree completely!
> assuming there are always citizens available who are qualified to do the job
What happens in a non-insane society is that they train people to do the jobs that need to be done.
> AND are willing to work for wages the employer can afford
If the employer can’t afford the prevailing wage, he doesn’t have a viable business. This is a borderline pro-slavery argument. It’s certainly pro-indentured servitude, unambiguously.
> STEM college is hard and many Americans do not wish
There are plenty enough Americans who would be perfectly happy to do so IF they did not know in advance that their own government would be deliberately sabotaging their ability to earn a fair wage, for their entire career. STEM is not more difficult than many other fields.
The arguments you are making are moral abominations predicated on the assumption of zero loyalty whatsoever to your countrymen, as if they are freely interchangeable with any foreigner who happens to present fraudulent credentials.
Well put; immigrant who came here 40 years ago describe how English was a requirement back then. Then again, that was to ensure they could be viable workers - and now we just want consumers who will happily spend taxpayer money (instead of earning their own) and re-populate areas devastated by socialist policies. The permanent underclass we’re importing now is just to replace the Americans that fled states as they degenerated into sh!tholes; my state of NJ is a prime example of this.
TRUMP NEEDS TO BUILD THE WALL -
REPUBLICANS NEED TO CHANGE LAWS SO ‘ONE FOOT IN’ DOESN’T GIVE YEARS OF RESIDENCY...
Find the organizers / traitors and deal with them as such. Machine guns could be useful.
Nip it in the Bud, as Barney would say.
Actually, I’ve already seen it, but thank you! The guy makes some excellent points.
How old are you? Your posts reflect impractical viewpoints and of someone who never ran a STEM business. I on the other hand was involved in a real world main street business at high levels for quarter of a century.
Go do a search of flunk out rates in colleges/universities for various curriculum’s, with emphasis on engineering. Then post your results.
And sh**can judges who would strike such anti-one-foot-in laws.
And also look up Clintons National Home Ownerhsip Strategy before it. Not absolving Bush one bit. GOP likes to continue Democrat ideas for some reason.
Oh, wait - NO, I haven't.
I'll have been on Free Republic 22 years in 3 weeks.
So, the opinion of you two about me is like unto a popcorn fart.
And sailor76 is a retread.
Your arrogance and ignorance is telling. You believe that being on this forum for 22 years makes you more intelligent and knowledgeable of the world than someone with less time here? That’s laughable and shows your lack of character.
You are not worthy of any more discussion. You earn or deserve absolutely no respect or further consideration.
Tell us your old screen name, retread.
You were one of the early ones in the Great FR Cruzer Defenestration of March-May 2016.
You either got banned in the early purge at the end of March - beginning of April, or created this account on April 12 because you knew you weren't going to be able to keep your mouth shut about Orange Man Bad.
I have an actual list of the unfortunates from that time, and you fit the FR profile of several of the banned posters.
Of course, you may have "fake-repented" and got your old banned account re-activated, like many did [not all!], but are keeping this one around to spread your NeverTrump poison on Free Republic.
You have me interested, now. ;-)
Shove off, retread defender.
What's up with that? You working with the retread? ;-)
Classic Non Sequitur response! Nobody questioned how long anyone has been on FR. In case you missed it, the context was questioning Laplata’s conservatism.
