Enrique Tarrio, who is the Chairman of the Proud Boys fraternal organization, had his personal Chase bank account shut down abruptly earlier this week.
In a letter obtained exclusively by Big League Politics, the bank informs him that he must shut down all of his accounts by April 1st, 2019, without giving a reason.
This comes just days after Chase Banks payment processor, Chase Paymentech, de-platformed him on a website he runs that allows groups and charities to sell merchandise, and raise money for causes. The website, 1776.shop, is most known for selling the famous Roger Stone Did Nothing Wrong shirts which Stone was spotted in during the late-night arrest at his home.
Tarrio has been facing months of backlash for his affiliation with the Proud Boys, first getting onto the radar in an article published on The Daily Beast, which asserts that people of color are joining white supremacist organizations. Tarrio is both Cuban, and black, and was profiled in that article.

No, that’s not what it is. They are right-wing, proud of America and proud of Western civilization, and supporters of President Trump.
And do note he’s defending Chase...
Facebook and Twitter has pretty much has stated that they will sensor hate speech and close down conservative speech (as hate speech of course)
Banks only care about one color and that is green. I never heard of banks going after individuals because of something they said. But that might be the trend these days. Scary world
I closed my Fakebook account months ago, for the reason of if it doesn’t exist I can’t get blamed for it. Plus arguing with libtards gets boring after a while.
I am not defending Chase
I stated we still do not know why. That is very important here. Chase might have a legitimate legal reason why the accounts are being closed.
A “private business” doing the things it’s government partners want done. Chase wouldn’t even exist except for the bank bailouts.
Private public partnerships. Government cannot punish you for your opinion or violate your rights openly, so their partner does it with impunity. And when the “private” business need some exclusive advantage, government provides that. This “partnership” is otherwise known as “fascism”.
“Facebook and Twitter has pretty much has stated that they will sensor hate speech”
Where will the hate speech sensors be mounted? Will they trigger some kind of alarm system? Or did you mean censor?

And what they call “hate speech” has no clear definition, it varies from day to day for them - almost always depending on the user’s socio-political views.

It’s true that banks, like any business, are supposed to make decisions based on profit. That’s what makes the business world go ‘round.
However, you have to remeber there are people behind the decisions, some of whom are are obsessed with PCness - if not outright leftist politics. (I’ll grant that some are just idiots.)
Obvious examples are the Jeff Bezos-types running companies. Gilette also gets a mention in that regard

I was on from about 2009-2011. Too many females thinking I was there looking for a sig other was a problem. And I just didn’t enjoy other interactions all that much, anyway.
Also, most of what people post about isn’t all that interesting.
My deep thinkin’ and amazing insight on all things isn’t all that interesting enough to post either, lol.
It’s probably okay for close friends and family use only, but I can do that just fine with phone calls and email.
Just to chime in - I’ve never had a facebook or twitter account (or myspace) I was on the “warboards” of ye olde BBS era and knew how such things could turn out. :)
(Although my business may be forcing me into getting a facebook account because I need to develop an app for our messaging service that will accept facebook messenger posts and that requires a facebook account for both testing and developing)
The whole alt-right thing seems a bit hinky. Richard(?) Spencer, the guy that is held up by the Left as the originator of the alt-right, ended up being a supporter of socialism. He disappeared in a hurry. Charlottesville seemed like a mostly staged encounter with neither side being particularly in tune with the Constitution. It all seems very phony.
Sue.the.bastards
Thanks-—I certainly get your point.
.
I am sure he isnt the only Trump supporter with a Chase Bank account
Did Chase make an announcement about Trump Supporters not allowed to have bank accounts at Chase? Because I havent heard of one.

Why are you defending this scum sucking bank? Chase received $25B during the Bailout.
Mohamed went warlord after being cut off from trade and supply.
When you leave people starving and with nothing but time to brood, you scare some into submission and drive a lot to desperation.
This is an evil precedence. We don’t like you, you can’t buy food or pay the rent. But we’ll give illegal immigrants welfare and banking services, screw the law, they’re more important than you.
We still don’t know the reason and speculating isn’t going to help us.

Although, back in the days of BBS it took time to get a good flame-throwing thread going. At 300 baud I had my hands full just trying to keep up with normal posting!

It’s common to use if you interact with the public a good amount of time.
I think there’s a good chance you’re right on this...
Politically motivated Corporate Terrorism. Plain and simple.
I never do business with Fed Reserve member banks...plenty of state chartered non-member banks/CU’s out there...over 100 in California alone. Here is the Western states list of non-member banks:

So you support him getting his personal bank account shut down because its good?
Just sayin.
If i was a leftist trouble maker trying to infiltrate conversvatives Id make an account on free republic with some blatant name like Trump.Deplorable then tacitly support oppression.
Just sayin.
Well said. Agree 100%.
Sounds like a boycott to me.
