After watching my father’s battle with prostate cancer I’d have to say yes.

The sharing of urinary and reproductive functions was a very bad design flaw IMHO. The ability to pee is pretty important.

Maybe the idea is to give the infant, upon birth, exposure to bacteria and viruses that are in its environment. Sort of like a vaccination, but with live stuff and in a smaller, unconcentrated amount.

No hypodermic needles in cave man days.
