Ok, I admit I’m not an expert on high speed rail, but what energy propels high speed rail? I don’t think it’s wind or solar. There aren’t enough damns to generate the electricity we need for our energy consumption so I’m assuming that high speed rail runs on fossil fuels. So what’s her answer to that?
I am not defending high-speed rails however, most high-speed rails are done through magnetism which requires some energy but not in the amount you are thinking. They are just too dang expensive to build. Japan’s bullet trains are done through sort of magnetism. YEs, it does require fossil fuels to deliver the electricity.

I did-—and there is nothing that says “build trains over the Oceans”,which is the topic of this thread.

The FAQ she provided practically said “we intend to eliminate air travel”.
You can’t run airlines on “renewables” (which she wants utilized for 100% of energy needs ).
You fly out of Mexico or Canada where some sense of sanity would still be present.
You must admit she provides humor to the dour Washington scene. A post on FOX site in response to her proposal: “I knew the horse and buggy would make a come-back, that’s why I invested in horse shoes.”
