How far back do we go for these personal things? There was no criminal conduct. I think the worst we can say about this is that it is hypocrisy on the part of the Democrats. So what if I wore a Bob Marley mask for a costume party in college? So if a black person wears a Dracula mask, is that racist? Dracula was white. What about Frankenstein?
This is getting ridiculous. Times have changed. We cannot erase the past. We don’t ever want to come to a point where only 100% eternally “woke” people can be leaders.
This is a great time to put lists on other social media of the history of the democrat party in terms of racism.
Evidently, the whole kit and kaboodle are the real closeted racists/former racists of our era. Even Elizabeth Warren’s theft of native American identity is actually a form of racism.
Thanks. I haven’t been following this closely.
I think he has at least one black person on each episode so that they can lament together about the horrors of American slavery, but he sometimes has white or Asian people. Most of them are celebrities that I had never heard of before.
Democrats just sore at the fact they had to give up owning slaves...
I think that all of the Democratic candidates for President who called on Northam to resign should now be asked if the Attorney General should also resign. I just want to see them squirm..
Eddie Murphy did it once on SNL, the racist.
The Dems want to be outraged at each other over it, why stop them. Pass the popcorn. Anybody do yellow face and talk like Chinese?
Give them all the Confederate statute removal treatment.
I have Sarah Stearns (1732 Sutton, MA - 1803 GA) and Micajah Paulk (1733 Tolland, CT - 1812 GA) who were the Gr Gr grandparents of William Bishop.

While not an every day occurrence, if anyone thinks this type of behavior was some sort of anomaly-even in the 80’s -they’d better think again
Not defending or making excuses (esp for Dems)-just saying what was.
IMHO the hypocrisy, not the blackface, is the real story.
That being said-I’m loving the shit show ;)
Democrat frat boys. And uniparty frat boys.
...you can never underestimate how eager PC Republicans are to earn cred with cultural Marxists. It’s been true for decades.
Who can forget Jack Kemp nodding in agreement as Al Gore congratulated him on being a race progressive unlike all of those nasty conservatives he was associated with.
That's a LIE! There were no black rappers in 1980. The only rapper in this era was Debra Harry.
I agree with what youve said, but what I said is also true.
Ditto. I’ve lived in the South all my life and have not been to a single party where someone was wearing black face and have never heard of any friends doing black face as a joke or stunt. Who are these idiots?
However, wearing black face is not a crime and I don’t see the harm in it. If someone chooses to be tasteless then there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s their life and their choice. It is not grounds for resignation. Promoting infanticide is criminal and should lead to resignation but obviously, black face is a more serious social blunder than encouraging the murder of the innocents.
The guy is lying about WHY he did it — because in 1980 there was little “rap” and no prominent rappers, and what did exist would have been unknown to white college kids.
Even if he personally knew of the obscure one or two rappers that existed at that time, his friends would not have known enough about “rap” or “rappers” to find his imitation amusing in the first place.
He should be made to tell WHY he put on the blackface, and why his friends got a yuk out of it.
Even when they are “telling the truth” they are lying.
