From what I’ve seen the Afghgan business people want us there only to assure their ability to make the profits they enjoy. But do little to help or assist their communities.
The rural people love the handouts but don’t have any incentive to work themselves now....and most have no interest in changing. And most of their army are there for a pay check and when they face a conflict run and let our guys handle it.

I’m in TX. Quite aware of the Southern Border.
Don’t like to be persnickety, but I will be - one of the main reasons we didn’t invade Japan was that our MARINES in the South Pacific were maxed out, and we could have lost half the remainder of our Marine Corps, my father among them. The Army was in Europe; they were not going to invade Japan. We had two wars on two fronts.
I can’t wait to see which of Lindsey Graham’s personalities responds to this.
This where I have a disagreement with President Trump. It is radical Islam who is a war with. We are going to have to find a way to defeat them. They will not stop. IMHO they are crossing the border now into our country.
